Guidelines & Best Practices
HOWTO Create a ticket for a bug report or feature request
- Search JIRA to see if ticket already exists.
- If you don't already have one, Sign up for a new OpenMRS ID or Login so that you can view and edit your tickets.
- Make a new ticket describing the Bug Report or Feature Request.
Please adhere to all ticket conventions
- Avoid creating duplicate tickets by searching for existing tickets.
- Development discussions should not occur within tickets; rather, development discussions should happen on the developers mailing list.
- If you see involved development (design) discussions happening within a ticket, please reply to them on the developer mailing list and then add a comment to the ticket stating that "This is a good design discussion, I've added some thoughts on the dev list" along with a link to your post on the dev list.
- Once design or other development ideas have been discussed and conclusions made, then those can be summarized in a comment on the ticket.
